The Crow: the film has found distributors internationally (except in France?)

The Crow project continues to defy predictions. Visibly rid of the curse that appeared on the set of the first adaptation led by Alex Proyas (1994), James O’Barr’s hero is preparing to make his return to the cinema. With the start of filming imminent, between the cities of Prague and Munich, the new film The Crow has already secured international distribution, with antennas scattered around the world ready to invest in the project. reboot.

Flight of the Raven

According to the editorial staff of Screen Daily, the production handled by the company FilmNation has already signed several partnerships during its passage through the Marché du Film market on the outskirts of the Cannes Film Festival. These distribution agreements include the United Kingdom (Entertainment Film), Germany (Leonine), Australia and New Zealand (Roadshow Films), Italy (Eagle), the various territories of Scandinavia (Nordisk), Latin America (California Filmes), Spain (Tri Pictures), Portugal (Pris), Greece (Tanweer), Eastern Europe (Vertical) and the Benelux countries (WWE).
Various other partnerships have been signed in Asia, but the Screen Daily article does not mention an exit plan for France. Which remains quite surprising on paper, but does not mean that the situation will not change over the coming months. For the time being, the reboot of The Crow puts forward some solid arguments: a director used to big productions, Rupert Saunders (Snow White and the Huntsman), actor Bill Skarsgard (It) and singer FKA Twigs mobilized for the main female role.

The filming budget for The Crow is estimated at $50 million.
