It’s no secret that the franchise Harry Potter has established itself as a major player in the history of modern cinema. In addition to its massive popularity with Potterheads, the films have grossed over $7.6 billion at the worldwide box office (not counting Fantastic Beasts).
According to the FandomSpot site, the franchise is still the most popular in the world today.
Based on the list of the 100 highest-grossing film franchises, FandomSpot analyzed monthly internet searches in more than 100 countries. They discovered that Harry Potter was the most searched franchise in 75 countries, including the United States, Canada, Brazil, France, United Kingdom, Italy, Germany and Spain.
