Sherlock

Sherlock: Have you noticed this sad part of Sherlock?

One of my favorite scenes in the last episode of Season 2 is when Molly in the lab tells Sherlock how she feels watching him.

Good course, we had all become acclimated (with relish!) to the sarcasm of Sherlock to her and to Molly’s mumbling whenever she was in presence of him, but this time we are witnessing a completely different exchange between them.

In indeed, there is in this intimate moment (unique!) a lot of hidden affection in the words of the young woman, trouble in her eyes too, (but this is theto a disorder of a very different nature from that more in love than she felt before) and compassion, quickly annihilating the humor of the first replicas, makes us quickly switch to a more “dramatic”, more touching, more moving…

In this sincere speech from the heart, Molly shows Sherlock and us that she knew how to pierce his shell and that she knows him much more than he doesand grows. Then appears a different Molly… very lucid, full of finesse and empathy for the suffering of others (suffering that she herself shares by the way)…And it’s one of the rare times (if not the only one?) where she doesn’t appear like the clumsy and the idiot of the corner…

A great moment to share…

Molly: “You’re kind of like my dad, he passed away…

Sherlock: – Molly don’t feel you have to talk to me, it doesn’t suit you at all…

Molly: – When he was dying he was adorable… Always in a good mood… except when he thought he was alone… Once I looked at him, he looked sad…

You also look sad when you think you are far from his gaze…

And don’t tell me you’re fine… Because I know what it’s like to look sad when you think no one is watching…

Sherlock: – You, you look at me…

Molly: – Me, I count for nothing… What I mean is that if there’s anything I can do, anything you want from me! that’s what I’m here for… Well let’s say that I can surely… If you need, count on me…

Sherlock: – Yes… but… coming from you, what could I need?

Molly: – You’re welcome. I do not know. But I don’t see what’s stopping you from saying thank you…

Sherlock: – …Thank you. »

And it’s true that he looks sad, our Sherlock… doesn’t he?
